After 35 years of ownership Iíve decided to pass on the baton!

This aircraft is well known in the UK, having won many concours de elegance prizes at fly-ins and the Wilkinson Sword for best Jodel at the PFA/LAA rally.

The original Lycoming O-235 engine of 108 hp has been replaced with a Lycoming O-320 160 hp engine and the maximum A.U.W. increased to 960 kg. making it an extremely good 4 place touring aircraft with outstanding performance and economical operation.
This aircraft is a development of the DR250/160 but without wing root fuel tanks and slightly less luggage space.
Airplane time state  Engine Lycoming O-320 B2C 160 hp with Air Wolf remote oil filter. Approx 700hrs. from new manufacture (at 200hrs.from new the engine was taken apart and checked before being rebuilt and fitted to this aircraft)

New battery, starter, solenoid and wiring recently fitted.
I cruise at 2300 RPM (approx 60% power) for an I.A.S of 115knts and endurance of approx. 4 hrs. and flight plan on 23litres Avgas per hour. If you want extra speed you could increase RPM up to 2700RPM but the fuel consumption increases rapidly above 2450RPM (75% power).

The engine modifications were fully approved by the UK CAA/EASA and the aircraft is classified as a full Annex I EASA aircraft with no restrictions on foreign flight.
The new CAA Self Declared Maintenance Program (SDMP) provides for an easier maintenance regime where an owner can carry out their own maintenance with an 100/Annual inspection by a LAE.

I also have all the modification paperwork which has a value to any other DR200 series owners wishing to upgrade their aircraft engine.

A new 8.33 TY96 TRIG radio is available
