Description
|
Symphony, certified version of the Glasair Glastar or now the Sportsman 2+2, but EASA limited to 2 persons with very large luggage compartment. Solid, well balanced airplane; easy to fly; rock steady in the air. No damage, no bad habits. Was used as show plane by OMF; then ~ 2 yrs for customer training; then by a couple of private owners.

620 hr TTSN, currently flown, engine Lycoming O-320-D2A; NDH, hangared, 890 kg MTOW, 627 kg empty, huge luggage 75 kg; MT propeller fixed pitch; ARC / 100hr due 20 June. 24V system. Little to no oil consumption.

Interior
|
Quality 7-8/10; light blue cloth seats and doors; overhead skylights. Google Nexus 9 tablet for navigation. Self locking shoulder belts; waist belts fixed.

Exterior
|
Steel bar frame, fiberglass covered. Wings & tail: aluminium.
Wheel pants, strobe lights, nav & landing light. Separate luggage door.

Avionics
|
VFR panel, Trig TY96 (8.33 kHz) + TT31 (Xponder S). A GPS nav Skymap is installed, (although I use tablet Nexus 9 with Skydemon). Handheld emergency battery operated 12 V. radio with COM, VOR and ILS; works with regular aviation headsets.

Options
|
Tow bar plus various smaller items. A JPI EDM 900 is available, but never installed; against extra cost.

Remarks
|
Handles like a much heavier airplane, hence very solid in the air.
